Staff Auditor I – REMOTE

Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a Staff Auditor I to join its Ryder Audit Services (RAS) team on a fully remote basis. This entry‑level audit role supports internal audit and advisory activities for the company’s operations across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform audit fieldwork, including planning, testing, and documentation of internal controls.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements.
• Prepare clear, concise workpapers and audit reports for senior management.
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand risk areas and develop audit scopes.
• Assist in follow‑up activities to ensure remediation actions are completed.
• Maintain compliance with Ryder’s audit methodology, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with audit software is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Internship or 0‑2 years of experience in internal audit, accounting, or financial analysis.
• Knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) controls, or other regulatory frameworks.

Compensation

Annual salary: $69,662.32 (fixed). Additional benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
