Job Summary

Join Nutanix as a Sr. Systems Sales Engineer in Washington, D.C., US. This senior presales role blends deep technical expertise with customer‑facing skills to design and sell innovative cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into Nutanix architecture designs.
  • Deliver compelling technical presentations, demos, and proof‑of‑concepts for enterprise prospects.
  • Provide expert guidance on cloud, hyper‑converged, and infrastructure solutions throughout the sales cycle.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices across the regional presales team.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, solution blueprints, and ROI models.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to relay market feedback and influence product roadmaps.
  • Achieve quarterly sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, solutions architecture, or technical sales.
  • Strong background with virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and hyper‑converged infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proven track record of influencing enterprise buying decisions and meeting sales quotas.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Nutanix Certified Professional, AWS Solutions Architect) are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $140,788.61 per year. Additional performance incentives, comprehensive health benefits, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and generous paid time off.
