Job Summary
The Sr Executive Chef role at Compass Group, North America is based in Washington, D.C., US. Lead culinary operations for Morrison Healthcare, delivering high‑quality, nutrition‑focused dining experiences across hospital settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all kitchen and food service operations for assigned healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with safety, sanitation, and nutrition standards.
- Develop and implement seasonal menus that meet clinical dietary requirements while enhancing patient satisfaction.
- Manage a team of chefs, cooks, and food service staff, providing coaching, performance reviews, and career development.
- Control food costs, labor budgets, and inventory, achieving financial targets and minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with dietitians, nursing leadership, and procurement to align food service with patient care goals.
- Oversee hiring, training, and scheduling to maintain optimal staffing levels.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or senior culinary leader in a large healthcare or institutional food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, food safety regulations, and menu engineering.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage budgets of $60K+ and lead teams of 30+ staff members.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary: $63,719.34. Relocation assistance is available for candidates outside the Washington, D.C. area. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
