About This Position
Cardinal Health is seeking a Sr. Coordinator, Patient Access (Reimbursement Specialist) in Cammack Village, Pulaski County, US. Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, providers, and payers throughout the reimbursement lifecycle.
- Verify patient eligibility, collect and submit prior‑authorization requests, and track claim status to ensure timely approval.
- Analyze insurance benefits, identify coverage gaps, and develop customized financial assistance plans, including copay assistance, patient assistance programs, and charity care.
- Collaborate with internal sales, clinical, and finance teams to resolve complex reimbursement issues and improve workflow efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Sonexus Access platform and ensure compliance with HIPAA, industry regulations, and company policies.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior coordinators and act as a subject‑matter expert on reimbursement processes.
- Generate regular performance reports, identify trends, and recommend process enhancements to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in patient access, reimbursement, or medical‑billing roles within the specialty pharma or biotech industry.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance plans, and patient assistance programs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, claim management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
Compensation & Benefits
