About This Position

Job Summary

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) is seeking a Sr. Consultant, Supplier Risk Management to join its national team in Canada. This senior role focuses on assessing and mitigating risks across the bank’s supplier ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end supplier risk assessments, including financial, operational, and regulatory reviews.
  • Develop and maintain risk‑based frameworks, policies, and controls aligned with CIBC’s risk appetite.
  • Collaborate with procurement, legal, compliance, and business units to embed risk considerations into sourcing decisions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • University degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CRMA, CISA) a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in supplier risk management, third‑party risk, or related risk‑focused roles, preferably within banking or financial services.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
  • Proficiency with risk assessment tools, GRC platforms, and MS Office suite.
