Sr. Analyst/JIRA SME (Remote)

Job Summary

GovCIO is seeking a Sr. Analyst/JIRA SME to support the Patient Care Services Product Line for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This fully remote role is based in Washington, D.C., with core hours 8 am‑5 pm ET.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead JIRA administration, configuration, and governance for agile development teams.
• Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, and developers to design workflows, dashboards, and reporting solutions that align with VA standards.
• Provide expert troubleshooting, training, and mentorship to end‑users across multiple locations.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity, security compliance, and suitability/public trust requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, recommend best practices, and support migration or integration projects.
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and release management activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a JIRA Subject Matter Expert or senior analyst in an agile environment.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with JIRA Software, JIRA Service Management, Confluence, and related Atlassian tools.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical JIRA solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for remote collaboration.
• U.S. citizenship with eligibility for Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
