Sr. Analyst/JIRA SME (Remote)

GovCIO is seeking a Sr. Analyst/JIRA SME to support the Patient Care Services Product Line for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This fully remote role is based in the NY State Campus, Albany County, NY, with a salary of $121,453.51.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject‑matter expert for JIRA, configuring boards, workflows, and custom fields to support agile development.
• Collaborate with VA product owners, developers, and QA teams to translate business needs into JIRA solutions.
• Provide day‑to‑day support, troubleshooting, and training for end‑users across multiple time zones.
• Maintain documentation, best‑practice guides, and release notes for JIRA configurations.
• Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and implement improvements to ensure data integrity.
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand‑ups during core business hours (8 am‑5 pm ET).

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with a current Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in agile software development environments.
• Deep expertise with Atlassian JIRA (administration, plugins, REST APIs).
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to train non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting healthcare or government IT projects is a plus.
