Sr. Analyst/JIRA SME (Remote)

GovCIO is seeking a Sr. Analyst/JIRA SME to join the Patient Care Services Product Line Support team for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This fully remote role is based in Chisolm, Montgomery County, US, with a salary of $96,321.77 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level support and administration of JIRA, Confluence, and related agile tools.
• Collaborate with VA stakeholders to gather requirements, configure workflows, and optimize processes.
• Lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
• Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and training materials for end users.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring high availability and performance of JIRA instances.
• Conduct regular health checks, upgrades, and migrations of JIRA environments.
• Mentor junior analysts and serve as the subject‑matter expert for best practices.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with a current Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in JIRA administration and agile software development.
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and integration tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience supporting government or healthcare IT projects is a plus.

This is a fully remote position for candidates located in the United States. Core business hours are 8 am–5 pm ET.
