Medtronic is hiring a Sr. Affera Mapping Specialist to work remotely while being based in Asheville, Buncombe County, NC. This role supports our CAS initiatives across multiple locations and offers a competitive salary of $81,287 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation, validation, and maintenance of Affera mapping data for clinical and research projects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Nashville, Chattanooga, and Paducah to ensure data consistency and compliance.
• Develop and implement best‑practice workflows for data collection, integration, and visualization.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior mapping specialists and external partners.
• Analyze mapping results to identify trends, improve processes, and support product development.
• Prepare detailed documentation, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulatory submissions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in medical device data mapping, preferably with Affera platforms.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and visualization software.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with regulatory standards (FDA, ISO) related to medical data.
• Knowledge of cloud‑based data management systems.
• Project management certification (PMP, Agile).
