Job Summary

Robert Half is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Five Points, Wake County, US. This full‑time role supports key accounting operations, drives month‑end close activities, and ensures the integrity of balance‑sheet accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the recurring close process, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Maintain and review general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate classification and documentation.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for internal and external reporting.
• Assist with audit preparation, providing schedules and explanations to auditors.
• Identify process improvements and implement best‑practice accounting procedures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including budgeting, payroll, and tax, to ensure data consistency.
• Monitor compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public‑accounting environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and month‑end close processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a track record of meeting tight deadlines.
