Job Summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Software Product Engineer – Navigation in Allen Park, Wayne County, US. This role drives the integration of navigation partners’ technologies into vehicle systems, supporting ADAS and in‑vehicle services.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate navigation partner data, SDKs, and application interfaces.
• Lead the integration of navigation services into Ford’s infotainment, ADAS, and other vehicle platforms.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (hardware, firmware, UX, safety) to define requirements and ensure seamless implementation.
• Develop test plans, validate functionality, and troubleshoot integration issues.
• Maintain documentation of architecture, APIs, and integration processes.
• Stay current with emerging navigation technologies and industry standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong software development experience (C++, Java, or Python) and familiarity with embedded systems.
• Experience with navigation APIs, map data services, and SDK integration.
• Understanding of ADAS concepts and vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree or advanced coursework in automotive software.
• Knowledge of automotive safety standards (ISO 26262, AUTOSAR).
• Prior experience in a Tier‑1 supplier or OEM environment.

Compensation

Salary range: $93,907 per year.
