About This Position
V2X is seeking a Software Engineer I to join its multi‑discipline team in Uptown, Marion County, US. This role supports enterprise‑wide programs that deliver rapid capability integration for airborne fleet readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain software solutions for integrated sense, control, employment, and deployment systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers, program managers, and stakeholders to translate mission requirements into high‑quality code.
- Apply modern development practices such as Agile, CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and security vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to technical documentation, configuration management, and release processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and experience with embedded or real‑time systems.
- Understanding of software design patterns, version control (Git), and unit testing frameworks.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to aerospace or defense software development.
- Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or scripting for test automation.
- Knowledge of safety‑critical standards (e.g., DO‑178C, MIL‑STD‑882).

Salary range: $114,429.77 per year.
