Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer role with Apetan Consulting, working remotely from anywhere in the US on a 6‑month contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement decoupled, event‑driven microservices using Azure services such as Event Hubs and Service Bus to process high‑volume inventory transactions in real time.
• Modernize the technology stack by building robust .NET/C# backend services that wrap and extend legacy business logic.
• Collaborate with front‑end teams to ensure seamless integration of new APIs and services.
• Provide architectural guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of all delivered components.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, primarily in .NET/C#.
• Strong background in designing event‑driven architectures and microservices.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services (Event Hubs, Service Bus, Functions, etc.).
• Proficiency with relational databases and ORM tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of front‑end technologies (React, Angular, or Vue) for full‑stack collaboration.
