Job Summary

Oracle is seeking a Software Development Snr Manager to lead a high‑performing engineering team in State House, Lancaster County, US. You will oversee the design, development, debugging and maintenance of software solutions for databases, applications, tools and networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers through full‑life‑cycle development, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
• Define and enforce software architecture standards, coding best practices and quality gates.
• Manage project timelines, resource allocation and risk mitigation to meet delivery commitments.
• Collaborate with product owners, DBAs and infrastructure teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior staff and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee debugging, performance tuning and troubleshooting of complex applications and databases.
• Ensure compliance with security, scalability and reliability guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience and at least 2 years in a people‑management role.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, object‑oriented design, and modern development methodologies (Agile, DevOps).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python or Go, and experience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and deliver large‑scale software projects.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Oracle database products and enterprise data solutions.
• Certification in project management or agile frameworks (PMP, Scrum Master).

Compensation
