About This Position
Job Summary
WSP USA is seeking a Senior Technician, Design Support in Washington, D.C., US. This role provides technical design and CADD support to engineers and project managers across planning, transportation, infrastructure, and technical services projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate detailed CADD designs for moderate to large‑scale projects.
- Prepare accurate design phase deliverables such as reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, and construction plans.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Assist in reviewing and updating design documentation throughout project life cycles.
- Support the preparation of cost estimates, material take‑offs, and technical specifications.
- Maintain organized project files and ensure timely delivery of design outputs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Architecture, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional CADD experience in transportation or infrastructure design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and related design software.
- Strong understanding of engineering design principles, codes, and standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple project priorities.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $86,535.25 per year.
