Hantz Group is seeking a Senior Tax Specialist to join its Bay City, Bay County office. This role will lead complex tax planning for high‑net‑worth individuals and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies for family office clients managing over $11B in assets.
• Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, trusts, and entities.
• Conduct tax research and stay current with changing tax legislation.
• Collaborate with investment, legal, and accounting teams to ensure integrated financial solutions.
• Mentor junior tax staff and oversee quality control of all tax deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or JD preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, preferably within a family office or wealth‑management environment.
• Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes, including estate and trust taxation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and client‑service skills.
