About This Position
Anthony J. Madonia & Associates, Ltd. is hiring a Senior Tax & Estate Planning CPA for its Schaumburg, Cook County office. This full‑time, on‑site role supports attorneys and high‑net‑worth clients with estate planning, probate, trust administration and tax strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex estate, trust, and probate tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax‑efficient estate planning strategies in collaboration with attorneys.
- Provide direct client service, answering tax‑related questions and guiding them through filing requirements.
- Oversee internal accounting functions, including billing, journal entries, and month‑end close.
- Mentor junior staff and lead internal audit and compliance initiatives.
- Stay current on federal and state tax law changes affecting estates and trusts.
Required Qualifications
- Active CPA license.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in estate planning, probate, trust administration, or related tax practice.
- Strong knowledge of IRC sections relevant to estates and trusts.
- Excellent client‑facing communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with tax software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s preferred.
