Job Summary
Energi People is hiring a Senior Structural Design Engineer on a 6‑month contract in Farringdon, Central London. The role offers a competitive salary of £104,000‑£108,160 and hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design of high‑profile, technically complex projects from concept to construction documentation.
- Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers and client teams to develop efficient, code‑compliant solutions.
- Perform advanced calculations, finite element analysis and design checks for steel, concrete and timber structures.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications and reports for submission to authorities and contractors.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal best‑practice guidelines.
- Ensure all work adheres to UK building regulations, BS codes and client standards.
Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Engineer (CEng or similar) with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in structural design.
- Proven track record on large‑scale commercial or infrastructure projects in London.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, Tekla).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary, hybrid teams.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to operate inside IR35.
