Job Summary

Aspire General Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Statutory Accountant to join its finance team in Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino County, US. This role is responsible for overseeing statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements, and guiding junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual statutory financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and state insurance regulations.
• Coordinate external audit activities, respond to auditor inquiries, and implement audit recommendations.
• Maintain and update statutory filing schedules, ensuring timely submission to state insurance departments.
• Analyze variances, provide insightful commentary for management reports, and support financial planning initiatives.
• Mentor and supervise junior accountants, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including underwriting and claims, to ensure accurate financial data flow.
• Stay current on changes to accounting standards and insurance regulations, and communicate impacts to the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in statutory accounting, preferably within the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Statutory Reporting, and state insurance filing requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy and ethical standards.

Compensation & Benefits
