Key Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end reliability and performance of Cloud Observability services used by millions of customers worldwide.
• Design, implement, and scale monitoring, alerting, and tracing systems across multi‑regional deployments.
• Lead incident management, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem processes to improve service availability.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to define SLOs, SLIs and error budgets.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 8 years of professional experience with data structures, algorithms and large‑scale software development.
• Deep expertise in site reliability engineering, including capacity planning, fault tolerance, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Java, C++ or Python.
• Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous problems, make data‑driven decisions and influence senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and observability tools (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Stackdriver).
• Track record of publishing open‑source contributions or technical papers.
• Strong communication skills and a history of mentoring technical teams.

Compensation

Base salary: $261,061 per year.
