Senior Staff Accountant

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its finance team in Austin, Travis County, TX. This role supports the company’s cutting‑edge satellite communication business while ensuring compliance with U.S. export regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and accruals for multiple cost centers.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for engineering and operations projects.
• Ensure compliance with US Government Space Technology Export Regulations and other statutory requirements.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and improve accounting processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in aerospace or high‑tech environments.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Eligibility to work in the United States under Space Technology Export Regulations (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or able to obtain required authorizations).
