Senior Software Engineer – Transaction Processing

PPRO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Transaction Processing to join its global payments team in Barre Junction, Washington County, US. This role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing high‑volume transaction processing systems for leading partners such as Ant Group, PayPal and Stripe.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable transaction processing services handling millions of payments daily.
• Collaborate with product, security, and operations teams to define requirements and ensure compliance with global payment regulations.
• Implement robust APIs, micro‑services, and data pipelines using modern languages and cloud platforms.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and champion best practices in performance, reliability, and security.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and drive continuous improvement through automation and observability tools.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in fintech or high‑throughput payment systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java, C++, or Go and experience with RESTful APIs, gRPC, and message queues.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and data consistency models.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Solid grasp of security standards (PCI DSS, GDPR) and encryption techniques.
