About This Position
Oracle is hiring a Senior Software Developer in Wyoming, Kent County, US, to lead the design and development of key components of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end development of major cloud infrastructure services, from low‑level system code to high‑level APIs.
- Design, implement, and optimize distributed system interactions ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross‑functional teams in an agile environment.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and champion best practices for clean, maintainable code.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and troubleshoot production incidents.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in cloud or distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in at least one systems language (e.g., Java, C++, Go, Rust).
- Deep understanding of networking, storage, virtualization, and concurrency.
- Experience with agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or comparable public‑cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes), micro‑services, and REST/GRPC APIs.
- Knowledge of security best practices and performance profiling tools.
Compensation & Benefits
