Job Summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Nashville, Davidson County, US, to lead the design and development of core components of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end software design, implementation, and delivery of major cloud infrastructure components.
• Develop high‑performance, scalable code across the full stack, from low‑level systems to distributed services.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Design, build, and maintain robust APIs and micro‑services that support global cloud workloads.
• Perform code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and champion best practices for simplicity, reliability, and security.
• Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and scalability challenges.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably with cloud platforms.
• Strong expertise in at least one programming language such as Java, C++, or Go.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts, networking, storage, and concurrency.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable code and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, teamwork, and communication abilities.
