Senior ServiceNow Developer
About This Position
GovCIO is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission‑critical applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based out of Cammack Village, Pulaski County, US, with a salary of $144,657.33 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and configure ServiceNow applications, modules, and integrations to support Coast Guard operations.
- Design automated workflows, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies in line with the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP).
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and QA teams to deliver high‑quality releases on schedule.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize performance of ServiceNow instances.
- Maintain documentation, version control, and change‑management records for all deliverables.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience, including ITSM, ITOM, or custom applications.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, AngularJS, REST/SOAP APIs, and SQL.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Skills
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or System Administrator.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure automation.
- Prior experience supporting federal or defense agencies.
