Senior ServiceNow Developer – Remote for GovCIO (Wyoming, Kent County, US)

GovCIO is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission‑critical applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role offers a competitive salary of $121,424 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and customization of ServiceNow modules to support Coast Guard operations.
• Develop and deploy automated workflows, integrations, and custom applications in line with the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure timely delivery.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning to maintain high‑quality, scalable solutions.
• Provide mentorship to junior developers and act as a technical subject matter expert.
• Maintain documentation, version control, and adherence to security and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide), UI Policies, Business Rules, and Flow Designer.
• Strong understanding of ITSM, ITOM, or ITBM processes and best practices.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise‑grade solutions in a remote, government‑focused environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Active or ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Preferred Skills

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Implementation Specialist certifications.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations, MID Server configuration, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
