Senior ServiceNow Developer
About This Position
GovCIO is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission‑critical applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based out of the Ny State Campus in Albany County, US, with a salary of $108,072.45 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end development of ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, integrations, and automated workflows.
- Collaborate with Coast Guard stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure rapid delivery of functional applications in line with the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP).
- Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow modules, troubleshoot issues, and provide production support.
- Implement best practices for code quality, version control, and release management.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, UI Policies, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub).
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, data imports, and system integrations.
- Solid understanding of ITSM, ITOM, or ITBM processes.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while meeting project deadlines.
- Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Skills
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or System Administrator (CSA) certifications.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with federal government IT standards and compliance requirements.
