Senior ServiceNow Developer – GovCIO (Remote – Chisolm, Montgomery County, US)
GovCIO is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission‑critical applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role offers a fixed annual salary of $85,709.41.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end development of ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, integrations, and automated workflows.
- Collaborate with Coast Guard stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure all deliverables align with the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP) and follow best‑practice governance.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning to guarantee high‑quality releases.
- Provide mentorship to junior developers and contribute to continual improvement of development processes.
- Maintain documentation, create knowledge‑base articles, and support post‑deployment troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide), UI policies, UI actions, and workflow design.
- Strong understanding of ITSM, ITOM, or ITBM modules and their integration points.
- Proven experience with REST/SOAP APIs, data imports, and outbound integrations.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- U.S. citizenship or eligible security clearance to work on Secret‑level projects.
Preferred Skills
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or System Administrator (CSA) certification.
- Experience supporting federal or defense‑related agencies.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
