Senior ServiceNow Developer
About This Position
GovCIO is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission‑critical applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based out of Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, US.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end development of ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, integrations, and automated workflows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs that align with the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP).
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning to ensure high‑quality releases.
- Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow modules, troubleshoot incidents, and provide tier‑3 support.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to best‑practice documentation.
- Stay current with ServiceNow releases and recommend innovative features that improve operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide), UI policies, and workflow automation.
- Strong understanding of ITSM, ITOM, or ITBM processes.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, integration hubs, and data imports/exports.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and a security‑cleared background suitable for U.S. government contracts.
Preferred Skills
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or System Administrator (CSA) certifications.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience supporting federal agencies, particularly the U.S. Coast Guard.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $93,933 – $93,933 per year. Competitive federal‑contract benefits package.
