Senior ServiceNow Developer
About This Position
GovCIO is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission‑critical applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote, United States Secret‑cleared role is based out of Boise, Ada County, ID.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end development of ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, integrations, and automated workflows.
- Collaborate with Coast Guard stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Ensure all deliverables align with the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP) and adhere to security and compliance standards.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and troubleshooting to maintain high‑quality, performant code.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance across the ServiceNow platform.
- Stay current with ServiceNow releases and best practices, recommending enhancements that improve efficiency and user experience.
Required Qualifications
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- 5+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide), UI Policies, Business Rules, and Flow Designer.
- Proven experience delivering large‑scale, mission‑critical applications in a government or defense environment.
- Strong understanding of ITSM, ITOM, or ITBM modules and best practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Preferred Skills
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or System Administrator certification.
- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations, MID Server configuration, and data migration.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Compensation
Salary: $95,044.91 per year (fixed).
