About This Position

Oracle is hiring a Senior Research Engineer – Agentic AI in Washington, D.C., US to lead cutting‑edge AI research and prototype advanced agentic and generative AI solutions for enterprise analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and evaluate novel agentic AI models that integrate with Oracle Analytics platforms.
  • Conduct end‑to‑end research cycles—from hypothesis, data collection, and experimentation to publishing findings.
  • Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and UX designers to translate research outcomes into scalable enterprise features.
  • Publish research papers, patents, and technical reports; present results at internal and external conferences.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team’s knowledge‑sharing culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience developing agentic, generative, or reinforcement‑learning systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Java; proficiency with deep‑learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Proven track record of publishing research in top conferences or journals.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with large‑scale data pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI).
  • Knowledge of optimization algorithms, probabilistic modeling, and natural language processing.

Compensation & Benefits
