Senior Research Engineer – Agentic AI

Oracle is hiring a Senior Research Engineer – Agentic AI in Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, US. This role will drive cutting‑edge research on agentic and generative AI within Oracle Analytics’ enterprise AI platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evaluate novel agentic AI algorithms that integrate with Oracle’s data‑management and analytics stack.
• Lead end‑to‑end research projects from hypothesis through prototype, benchmarking, and production hand‑off.
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and data scientists to translate research breakthroughs into scalable cloud services.
• Publish findings in top‑tier conferences and patents, and represent Oracle at industry events.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team’s technical vision and roadmap.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• 5+ years of research experience in agentic AI, reinforcement learning, generative models, or optimization.
• Strong publication record in top conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, etc.).
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and large‑scale data pipelines.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
