Oracle is hiring a Senior Research Engineer – Agentic AI in Lansing, Ingham County, US. This role focuses on advancing Oracle Analytics’ next‑generation enterprise AI products, embedding agentic and generative AI into data‑driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and evaluate cutting‑edge agentic AI algorithms for large‑scale enterprise analytics.
- Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and UX designers to integrate AI capabilities into Oracle Analytics platforms.
- Conduct rigorous research, publish findings, and contribute to patents in machine learning, optimization, and generative AI.
- Lead technical mentorship for junior engineers and foster a culture of scientific inquiry.
- Develop proof‑of‑concept demos and performance benchmarks to validate AI solutions in real‑world scenarios.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- 5+ years of research‑focused engineering experience, preferably in agentic or generative AI.
- Strong publication record in top AI conferences or journals.
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and large‑scale data processing frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Preferred Skills
- Background in reinforcement learning, natural language processing, or optimization theory.
- Familiarity with enterprise data management, data warehouses, and analytics pipelines.

Base salary: $132,972.72 annually.
