Senior Process Analyst

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Process Analyst to design, develop, and maintain mission‑enabling applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based in Washington, D.C., US, with a salary of $72,279 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document functional requirements for Coast Guard applications.
• Design and model business processes and automated workflows in line with the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP).
• Develop, test, and deploy functional applications, ensuring rapid delivery and high quality.
• Maintain and enhance existing mission‑critical systems, providing ongoing support and troubleshooting.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies and recommending automation solutions.
• Coordinate with project and program managers to align deliverables with schedule, budget, and compliance requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation, including process maps, use cases, and user guides.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to knowledge‑sharing within the team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process analysis, business analysis, or systems design, preferably in a federal or defense environment.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and workflow automation tools.
• Proficiency with modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN, UML) and documentation tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Security clearance eligibility for United States Secret level.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Coast Guard or other maritime federal agencies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and integration services.
