Senior Process Analyst

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Process Analyst to design, develop, and maintain mission‑enabling applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based in Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, US, with a salary of $69,203.84.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis, design, and documentation of business processes and functional requirements for Coast Guard applications.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure rapid delivery of functional applications and automated workflows in line with the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP).
• Develop and maintain process models, use cases, user stories, and workflow diagrams.
• Conduct gap analyses, identify improvement opportunities, and propose solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Facilitate requirement‑gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, and sprint planning sessions.
• Perform quality assurance testing, validate system integrations, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
• Provide mentorship to junior analysts and act as a subject‑matter expert on process optimization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process analysis, business analysis, or systems engineering, preferably within federal or defense contracting environments.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency with modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, BPMN) and requirement management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting maritime or Coast Guard missions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and automation tools.
• Certification such as CBAP, PMP, or ITIL.
