About This Position
Sumitomo Pharma is seeking a Senior Manager, Enterprise Apps, Workday Architect to lead Workday implementation and optimization for its Cedar, Cole County, US operations. This senior role combines strategic planning, solution architecture, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the end‑to‑end architecture of Workday HCM, Finance, and Talent modules.
- Lead a cross‑functional team of analysts, developers, and consultants to deliver system integrations, custom reports, and business process enhancements.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and IT leadership to align Workday capabilities with corporate strategy and compliance requirements.
- Develop and enforce governance, security, and data integrity standards across the enterprise.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including system upgrades, automation, and user adoption programs.
- Manage vendor relationships and third‑party implementation partners.
- Provide mentorship and career development for junior architects and technical staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise HR/Finance systems, with at least 5 years focused on Workday architecture and implementation.
- Proven track record delivering large‑scale Workday projects in a regulated industry (pharma, biotech, or healthcare).
- Strong knowledge of Workday Studio, Integration Cloud, Report Writer, and security model.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally to corporate sites and partner locations.
Compensation
Annual base salary: $193,721.56
