About This Position
Actalent is hiring a Senior Interior Designer in Washington, D.C., US to lead high‑end workplace projects of 30,000+ sq ft. This role combines design leadership, mentorship, and financial proposal responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design development and execution of large‑scale workplace interiors, ensuring premium quality and client satisfaction.
- Create compelling design concepts, mood boards, space plans, and detailed construction documents.
- Present design solutions clearly to clients and internal stakeholders, translating ideas into physical space.
- Mentor and guide one junior designer, fostering skill growth and project collaboration.
- Assist with budgeting, cost estimating, and preparation of proposals and bid packages.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience delivering large‑scale workplace interior projects (30,000 sq ft. +).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high‑end design excellence and spatial storytelling.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with project budgeting, proposals, and client negotiations.
- On the path to NCIDQ licensure (preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
