Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and supervise geotechnical investigations for residential, commercial, and transportation projects.
- Interpret soil and rock data, develop design recommendations, and prepare detailed reports and construction specifications.
- Mentor junior engineers, review their work, and ensure compliance with local codes and industry standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including structural, environmental, and civil engineers—to deliver integrated solutions.
- Conduct risk assessments, propose mitigation strategies, and support value‑engineering studies.
- Maintain client relationships, present findings, and support business development activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in British Columbia.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive geotechnical experience, including site investigation, design, and construction supervision.
- Proficiency with geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Settle3D) and strong Excel modelling skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
