Job Summary

Hundshamer, CPA is hiring a Senior Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant in Glendora, Los Angeles County. This role oversees the complete accounting cycle for multiple client portfolios, delivering accurate, tax‑ready financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile multiple sets of books, from month‑end close to daily transaction posting.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss reports, and cash flow statements.
• Execute “after‑the‑fact” reconciliations and ensure all adjustments are properly documented.
• Coordinate with clients to gather source documents, answer accounting inquiries, and provide strategic financial insights.
• Prepare and review payroll, sales tax filings, and other regulatory submissions.
• Assist in the preparation of year‑end tax packages and collaborate with external CPAs.
• Identify process improvements, implement best practices, and support junior staff development.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent accounting certification.
• 5+ years of full‑charge bookkeeping or staff accountant experience, preferably in a public accounting or multi‑client environment.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar accounting software; advanced Excel skills required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and payroll processing.
