Senior Fire Engineer – Remote

Liquid is hiring two Senior Fire Engineers to work remotely on high‑profile UK projects for a leading fire engineering consultancy. Base salary is £85,000 and the role supports residential, commercial and mixed‑use developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead fire strategy development and fire safety engineering for complex building projects.
• Produce fire engineering calculations, reports and design documentation in compliance with UK building regulations and BS 9999.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and client teams to integrate fire safety solutions.
• Mentor junior fire engineers and review their work for technical accuracy.
• Conduct risk assessments, fire modelling and performance‑based design where required.
• Support client presentations and liaise with fire authorities and certifiers.

Essential Requirements

• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or equivalent with a recognised fire engineering qualification.
• Minimum 7 years of experience delivering fire engineering solutions on large‑scale residential, commercial or mixed‑use projects.
• Proficiency in fire modelling software (e.g., PyroSim, Fire Dynamics Simulator) and design tools (Revit, AutoCAD).
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, Approved Document B, and relevant BS standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear technical reports.
• Self‑motivated, able to work remotely and manage multiple deadlines.
