Senior Fire Engineer – Remote
About This Position
Liquid is hiring two Senior Fire Engineers to work remotely on UK projects while being based in Ocean Village, Southampton. The role offers a competitive salary of £85,000 and the chance to contribute to award‑winning fire engineering and building safety solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead fire safety design and engineering for residential, commercial and mixed‑use developments.
- Produce fire strategy reports, calculations, and compliance documentation in line with UK building regulations and BS 9999.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and clients to integrate fire safety solutions early in the design process.
- Mentor junior fire engineers and review their work for technical accuracy.
- Support tendering and business development activities, including preparing technical proposals.
- Stay up‑to‑date with industry standards, fire safety research and emerging technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
- Professional qualification in fire engineering (e.g., CEng, MEng, or equivalent) and Chartered Engineer status preferred.
- Minimum 7‑10 years of fire engineering experience on complex UK projects.
- Proven track record delivering fire safety solutions for high‑rise residential and commercial schemes.
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, Approved Document B, and relevant fire standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
