Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Lead the general ledger close process, ensuring accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting packages for senior leadership and property performance metrics.
- Analyze variances, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to improve profitability.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning for multiple property assets.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and promote best practices across the finance function.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in real‑estate or property management.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and audit processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, SAP).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
