About This Position
Job Summary
NavitasPartners is seeking a Senior Engineer – Generative AI & Agentic Frameworks to work remotely from Québec, Canada. This contract/full‑time role leads the design and delivery of enterprise‑scale AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop and deploy generative AI models and agentic frameworks for large‑scale enterprise use.
- Build and maintain scalable AI pipelines integrated with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ensure AI governance, reliability, security and performance across all deployments.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product owners and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to best‑practice documentation.
- Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimise models and infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on generative AI, large language models, or agentic systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).
- Hands‑on experience with cloud AI services, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep understanding of AI governance, model monitoring, and ethical AI principles.
- Proven ability to design high‑throughput, low‑latency AI pipelines for enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English; French is a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval‑augmented generation, or multi‑agent orchestration.
- Knowledge of data engineering tools (Spark, Kafka, Airflow).
- Background in fintech, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
Location & Work Model
Remote or hybrid work from Québec, Canada, with occasional collaboration meetings across North America.
