Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Benchmark Analytics is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer in Chicago, Cook County to lead secure, automated infrastructure for its cutting‑edge law‑enforcement analytics platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a strong security‑as‑code focus.
• Automate cloud provisioning, monitoring, and incident response across hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers and product teams to embed security controls early in the development lifecycle.
• Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing for infrastructure components.
• Mentor junior DevOps staff and champion best practices for compliance (e.g., NIST, SOC 2).

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps/Cloud engineering with a security emphasis.
• Expertise in AWS, Azure or GCP, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and familiarity with Linux/Windows system hardening.
• Experience implementing SAST/DAST, secret management, and zero‑trust networking.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Security or related field; relevant certifications (CISSP, AWS‑Security, CKAD) a plus.
