Job Summary

RNR IT Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior DBT Cloud Architect (Azure/Databricks) to work remotely from anywhere in the United States. This contract role offers a fixed annual compensation of $77,649.34.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end design, development, and deployment of DBT Cloud models on Azure Databricks.
• Architect scalable, high‑performance data pipelines that integrate with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and other cloud data services.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust transformation logic.
• Establish best practices for version control, testing, and CI/CD automation using Git, Azure DevOps, and dbt Cloud workflows.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on DBT, SQL, and Spark SQL optimization.
• Monitor production jobs, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement enhancements for reliability and cost efficiency.
• Document architecture diagrams, data lineage, and standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics architecture.
• Deep expertise with DBT Cloud, including model development, testing, and orchestration.
• Proven experience building solutions on Azure Databricks and Spark.
• Strong SQL/Spark SQL skills and familiarity with Python for custom transformations.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure data services (Data Lake Storage, Synapse, Azure Blob, Azure Data Factory).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and infrastructure‑as‑code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
