Senior Data Architect (USA)

Trexquant Investment is hiring a Senior Data Architect in New York City, New York to design and lead a next‑generation data ecosystem for research, simulation and alpha generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable, secure data platform that consolidates hundreds of vendor data sources.
• Define end‑to‑end data pipelines, storage solutions, and data cataloging for multi‑asset‑class research.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers, engineers and product teams to translate business needs into technical architecture.
• Establish data governance, quality, and lineage frameworks to ensure reliability and compliance.
• Mentor junior data engineers and promote best practices in data modeling, cloud migration, and performance tuning.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering or related fields.
• Deep expertise with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Proven track record designing large‑scale data lakes, warehouses, and real‑time streaming pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Python/Scala, and data modeling (dimensional, graph, NoSQL).
• Experience with data governance tools (Collibra, Alation) and CI/CD for data pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced fintech environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in quantitative finance, algorithmic trading or alpha‑generation research.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of security standards (PCI, GDPR) and data privacy regulations.

Compensation & Benefits
