Senior Compliance Professional
About This Position
Humana is seeking a Senior Compliance Professional in Washington, D.C., US to lead compliance initiatives and ensure strict adherence to regulatory and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, interpret, and implement complex federal and state regulations affecting Humana’s operations.
- Develop, maintain, and update compliance policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and operational teams to resolve moderately complex to complex compliance issues.
- Prepare and present compliance reports for senior leadership and external regulators.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance best practices and emerging regulatory changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Healthcare Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, preferably within the healthcare or insurance sector.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, ACA, CMS, and other relevant federal regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with autonomy and strategic influence.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
