Senior Compliance Professional

Humana is seeking a Senior Compliance Professional in Washington, D.C., US to lead compliance initiatives and ensure strict adherence to regulatory and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, interpret, and implement complex federal and state regulations affecting Humana’s operations.
• Develop, maintain, and update compliance policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and operational teams to resolve moderately complex to complex compliance issues.
• Prepare and present compliance reports for senior leadership and external regulators.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance best practices and emerging regulatory changes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Healthcare Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in compliance, preferably within the healthcare or insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, ACA, CMS, and other relevant federal regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with autonomy and strategic influence.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
