Job Summary
Openkyber is seeking a Senior Cloud Governance Engineer in Alaska, US. This hybrid role supports modernizing case‑management systems and ensures cloud resources meet security, compliance, and cost‑optimization standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud governance frameworks across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to embed security and compliance controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct risk assessments, audit readiness reviews, and remediation planning.
- Develop policies for cost management, resource tagging, and access control.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross‑functional teams.
- Monitor cloud usage, generate governance reports, and recommend continuous improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on governance, security, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP services and native governance tools (AWS Config, Azure Policy, etc.).
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation scripting (Python, PowerShell).
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a hybrid environment.
