Job Summary

Join C.H. Robinson in Wyoming, Kent County as a Senior Carrier Payment Support Specialist. In this customer‑facing role you will be the primary point of contact for carrier partners, handling payment inquiries and resolving issues quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of inbound carrier calls, emails and chat messages regarding invoices, remittances and payment status.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, missing documentation, and settlement errors in real time.
• Collaborate with Carrier Accounts Payable, Finance, and Transportation Operations teams to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Maintain detailed case notes in the ticketing system and meet service‑level agreements for response and resolution times.
• Provide guidance to carriers on payment processes, portal usage, and required documentation.
• Identify trends in payment issues and recommend process improvements to reduce recurring problems.
• Support month‑end and audit activities by supplying required reports and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in carrier finance, accounts payable, or logistics payment support.
• Strong understanding of freight payment cycles, carrier contracts and EDI/payment platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with ERP or transportation management systems.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment and meet SLA targets.
