About This Position
General Motors is seeking a Scrum Lead for its Chassis Analytics team in Frankfort, Franklin County, US. This role will guide a software development scrum team delivering data‑driven solutions for vehicle braking, steering, suspension and dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a cross‑functional scrum team of 6‑12 engineers in the design, development, and deployment of chassis analytics software.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure adherence to Agile best practices.
- Collaborate with domain experts in braking, steering, suspension, and vehicle dynamics to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Prioritize backlog items, define sprint goals, and remove impediments to maintain steady delivery velocity.
- Drive the integration of machine learning and AI models into analytics tools, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Monitor metrics, generate reports on sprint progress, and communicate status to senior leadership.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in a Scrum Master or Agile Lead role.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, Scrum ceremonies, and Kanban practices.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java and experience with data analytics tools.
- Hands‑on experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and AI model deployment.
- Understanding of vehicle dynamics, chassis systems, or automotive engineering is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
